To become a security officer in Texas, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal background check, complete the required training, and submit an application to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The training itself typically takes 1-2 weeks depending on the level. After completing training, the Texas DPS usually processes applications within 4-6 weeks. We provide assistance with the application process to help avoid delays.

Yes, we have partnerships with many security companies throughout Texas. We provide resume assistance, interview preparation, and direct referrals to our partner companies. Many of our graduates receive job offers before completing the program.

Level II is for unarmed security officers. Level III is for armed security officers and includes firearms training. Level IV is for Personal Protection Officers (PPO) who provide executive protection and close protection services. Each level requires additional training and has different licensing requirements.
